Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a dedicated Recovery Support Specialist to work at the UnityPlace Drop In Center in Peoria, IL. Under supervision, you will provide recovery-oriented services to adults with behavioral health diagnoses and support peers and teams.

Responsibilities include helping clients create recovery plans, facilitating groups, teaching self-advocacy, and linking clients to psychiatric and community services. You will model ethical practice and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) within 2 years (IAODAPCA).
• Ability to develop recovery plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Provide mentoring and group support to consumers.

Responsibilities

• Provide strength-based ongoing consumer services for behavioral health needs.
• Encourage development of recovery plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Follow CRSS code of ethics in service delivery.
• Provide mentoring, individual and group support, and teach self-advocacy.
• Facilitate groups and classes teaching daily living and coping skills.
• Respond to crises and coordinate with ERS when needed.
• Provide linkage to mental health services and programs.
