ReDiscover is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our Peer Services program in Lees Summit, MO. The position values lived experience with recovery to support clients navigating mental health and substance use challenges.

You'll work Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and help connect clients to groups and community resources while safeguarding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willing to work Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Experience with peer support and recovery focus.
• Must complete Missouri Peer Specialist training and pass certification.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and GSuite.

Responsabilités

• Share lived experience of resilience and recovery and model successful recovery behaviors.
• Link clients with support groups and other community resources, including health & wellness activities and employment support.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop and modify individual client treatment plans.
• May participate in mutual support and education groups within ReDiscover programs.
• May assist with client transportation using a personal vehicle when needed.
• Safeguards Protected Health Information and maintains confidentiality; may provide written documentation.
