The position offers a 40-hour week with some evening and weekend hours, paid at $17.00 per hour, and requires NC certification and reliable transportation to support services in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in NC.
• 1 year experience with behavioral health preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Pre-employment screening: criminal background checks (OIG, Child Abuse Registry, Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
• References or employment history may be required for positions involving driving.

Responsibilities

• Modeling effective coping and self-help techniques to individuals.
• Provide empowerment skills and support in successful recovery living.
• Assist individuals in accessing resources and following through with resolutions.
