You will engage through active listening, share your recovery journey, and offer practical strategies for managing challenges and pursuing personal goals.

The role requires empathy, confidentiality, and advocacy, with a focus on empowerment, informed decision-making, and promoting recovery-based services within the community

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required upon hire.
• Must have personal experience with mental health challenges.
• Experience coping with life events despite mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Engage with individuals through active listening, sharing your recovery journey, and offering practical strategies for managing challenges and achieving personal goals.
• Help individuals in setting and achieving their own goals.
• Model recovery, share personal recovery stories, and promote supports that foster recovery.
• Respect the confidentiality, rights, and dignity of the individuals served at all times.
• Advocate for patients through recovery-based services, helping individuals make their own decisions and develop empowerment and self-advocacy.
• Promote integration of individuals into their chosen communities and support living in the least restrictive environments.
