Job summary

Pioneer Human Services is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to advocate for clients and support recovery within behavioral health services. You will use your lived experience to encourage responsibility and help clients access community supports under supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with intakes, coordinating services, and documenting interactions. The role emphasizes teamwork, professional communication, and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Peer Counselor Certification required.
• Self-identify as a person with lived experience with mental health or substance use services or be a parent/guardian of a child with lived experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide client advocacy under the supervision of a mental health professional.
• Assist clients in obtaining community services (healthcare, housing, employment, etc.).
• Support clients’ recovery activities and act as a role model for recovery.
• Document professionally and communicate with staff and community partners.
• Engage in supervision and trainings as required by WAC/RCW.
