Job summary

Trilogy, Inc. is seeking a Peer Crisis Support Specialist to provide direct, peer-led support within its Living Room program in Chicago. The role uses lived experience with recovery to foster hope, connection, and engagement for guests in emotional distress.

You will work collaboratively with guests, colleagues, and community partners to promote stability, reduce barriers to care, and support transitions to ongoing services using a harm-reduction approach.

Qualifications

• Active CRSS certification required upon hire.
• Lived experience with mental health recovery and/or substance use recovery.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a human services field preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer-led crisis support in a recovery-oriented Living Room setting.
• Utilize lived experience to instill hope and reduce stigma.
• Assist with guest intake, assessment, orientation, and daily Living Room operations.
• Build supportive relationships through active listening and engagement.
• Help guests identify strengths, goals, and coping strategies.
