Trilogy seeks a Recovery Support Specialist to engage clients in Drop-In Center activities and support recovery goals in Chicago, IL. You will provide individual skill building in social communication, coping, self-care, and community integration, using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach. This PRN position offers scheduling flexibility to cover shifts at two Chicago locations (1400 W.

Greenleaf Ave and 8541 S. State Street).

Qualifications

• Must self-identify as a past or present consumer of mental health and/or substance abuse services.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CRSS certification preferred or must obtain CRSS within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a variety of situations.
• Interest in working with people with mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to new employees about proper procedure in the Beacon.
• Continue education and trainings to strengthen services provided.
• Assist Team Leader with Beacon operations, inventory and management of supplies. Regularly restock office, laundry/shower area, and café.
• Ensure the completion of routine safety drills in accordance with organization policies, procedures, and COVID-19 guidelines.
• Coordinate with School Field Supervisors as needed for student/Intern placement.
• Facilitate milieu-based interventions intended to improve or maintain functioning in interpersonal situations.
• Consult and partner with other departments for coordination of care for clients.
• Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Shift Requirements will vary depending on needs and hour of the Drop-In Center.
