Qualifications

• Must be an individual with lived experience in mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorder recovery.
• Registration through OhioMHAS as a Certified Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter.
• Completion of 16-hour online OhioMHAS E-Based Academy Course.
• Completion of a minimum of 40 hours of peer service delivery training or three years of formal experience in peer service delivery.
• High School Diploma with 2 years of work experience in social services, sales, or business-related fields; or an Associate/Bachelor degree with related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to identify healthy steps they will take to assist in their recovery through employment and job explorations.
• Provide recovery-focused employment interventions including Motivational Interviewing and Individual Placement and Support.
• Provide supports such as resume prep, interview practice, and job placement coaching.
• Coordinate with employers, community partners, and service agencies to expand meaningful employment opportunities.
