Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking a full-time Peer Support Specialist to support the Recovery Coach Doula Program across Denver metro. The role emphasizes peer-led interventions, motivational interviewing, and collaborative care for pregnant and postpartum clients with substance use disorder.

Standard hours are 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with potential weekend requirements. The position offers a hybrid schedule with some remote work, and benefits within the CU Anschutz campus community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 60 hours COPA- or NAADAC-approved peer support training required.
• One year of direct peer support/recovery coach experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer-led interventions for pregnant and postpartum clients with substance use disorder.
• Utilize motivational interviewing to help clients set goals and action plans.
• Maintain documentation and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure care plans.
