Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a full-time Peer Support Specialist for the Recovery Coach Doula Program in the Pueblo, CO area. The role offers a hybrid schedule, with some on-campus days and remote work, to support pregnant and postpartum clients with substance use disorder.

Direct care, motivational interviewing, client mentoring, outreach, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team are core duties, along with confidential care and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 60 hours COPA- or NAADAC-approved peer support training required.
• One year of direct experience as a peer support specialist or recovery coach preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support interventions for pregnant and postpartum clients with substance use disorder.
• Utilize motivational interviewing to help clients identify goals and action plans.
• Mentor clients with guidance, education and encouragement for personal growth.
