Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers, Inc. is seeking a Counselor to support patients on their recovery journey. You will conduct intakes, assessments, and treatment planning, ensuring adherence to CARF and Pinnacle policies.

You will provide individual and group counseling and collaborate with the treatment team to promote safe, effective care. The role offers a defined career path, ongoing supervision, and opportunities for continuing education, with pay structured by experience and licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a relevant field with credentials to provide counseling services.
• Kern County requires a bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with 75% certification education.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation to new patients on programs’ rules and rights.
• Conduct intakes, discharge planning, initial assessments, and treatment planning.
• Involve patients in assessment and treatment planning to support recovery.
• Administer biopsychosocial assessments at intake and ongoing.
• Develop treatment plans using SNAP to meet short and long-term goals.
• Monitor and document changes; address relapse indicators early.
