Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers, Inc. seeks a Counselor in Ohio to support the recovery journey of our patients using evidence-based practices. You will contribute across multiple stages of care, ensuring compassionate, compliant service delivery and accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes crisis counseling, patient rights education, and coordination with care teams. A valid OH CDCA or equivalent licensure is mandatory; the position requires teamwork, ongoing learning, and adherence to program

Qualifications

• OH CDCA or higher certification is required.
• Licensed professionals must maintain current Ohio licensure as specified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries per federal/state standards.
• Orient patients to program objectives, phase system, rules, and rights.
• Assess and place patients according to treatment phases.
• Update clinical documentation and charts.
• Counsel patients in crisis situations and when noncompliance occurs.
• Arrange referrals to community resources as needed.
• Perform treatment plan reviews and participate in case conferences.
• Maintain knowledge of confidentiality and methadone treatment regulations.
• Complete intakes and facilitate group counseling sessions.
• Collect urine drug screens with proper chain of custody.
• Submit monthly and quarterly reports to supervisor.
• Attend supervisions, team meetings, and required trainings.
