Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers is seeking a Counselor to support patients in the Dayton, OH area as part of our addiction treatment team. The role focuses on counseling, intake processing, and providing ongoing support across treatment phases.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, conducting group sessions, and coordinating referrals, with a strong emphasis on compliance with federal and state guidelines and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Counseling and crisis intervention experience
• Strong documentation and note-taking skills
• Ability to work within federal/state guidelines
• Team collaboration and case coordination

Responsibilities

• Complete patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries per policy.
• Orient patients on program goals, phases, rules, hours and patient rights.
• Assess and place patients according to treatment phases.
• Maintain clinical documentation and patient charts.
• Counsel patients in crisis and assist with resource referrals.
• Facilitate intakes and group counseling sessions.
• Collect urine drug screenings and ensure proper chain of custody.
