Pinnacle Treatment Centers in Ohio is seeking a Counselor to support the recovery journeys of our patients. The role combines compassionate care with evidence-based treatment methods to address diverse needs and help individuals achieve lasting change.

The position emphasizes clinical documentation, intake assessments, group counseling, crisis counseling, referrals, and adherence to federal and state standards. Licensure options include CDCA, LPC, LMSW, LMFT, and LICDC with supervision support.

Qualifications

• Must have an active OH CDCA or other OH counseling license.
• Counselors with different licensure levels require supervision and competency planning.
• Licensure in OH as SW, LPC, LMFT or LICDC is expected or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other essential documentation.
• Provide orientation about program objectives, rules, and services to patients.
• Assess and place patients according to treatment phases per standards and policies.
• Maintain clinical documentation and patient charts per policies.
• Counsel patients in crisis and refer to appropriate resources as needed.
• Attend case conferences, reviews, and trainings; submit reports as required.

Education

GED/High School diploma or higher

CDCA or higher certification in OH

Licensed Social Worker or higher licensure in OH

Licensed Professional Counselor or higher licensure in OH

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or higher licensure in OH
