Pinnacle Treatment Centers is seeking a Counselor to support patients on their recovery journey at our Kern County, California location. You will conduct intakes, assess needs, plan treatments, and provide counseling within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Psychology or related field.
• Technical/other training in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation to new patients on programs’ rules, policies, procedures, and patients' rights.
• Conduct Intakes, Discharge Planning, Initial Assessments, and Initial Treatment Plans professionally and within time guidelines.
• Involve patients in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention aspects of treatment to support recovery.
• Administer biopsychosocial assessment evaluating addictions, medical/mental health history, and socioeconomics at intake and ongoing.
• Monitor and document changes, relapse indicators, and address them to promote relapse prevention.
