Pinnacle Treatment Centers in Kern County, CA seeks a dedicated Counselor to support patients on their recovery journey. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and group counseling within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates have an associate degree, with bachelor’s degree or substantial certification preferred, and 2–5 years of experience or a Master level for advancement. Join a mission-driven environment focused on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Possess an associate degree in relevant field and credentials to provide counseling.
• Kern County requires a bachelor’s degree or 75% of required certification.
• 2–5 years of experience OR Master level for Counselor II/III.
• Licensure or certification by a CA certifying organization is required before practicing.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation to new patients and explain programs’ rules and policies.
• Conduct intakes, discharge planning, initial assessments, and treatment planning.
• Involve patients in assessment and treatment planning to support recovery.
• Administer biopsychosocial assessments and evaluate all areas of the patient’s life.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using SNAP strengths and patient preferences.
• Monitor changes and relapse indicators to promote relapse prevention.
• Provide counseling and referrals; conduct individual and group sessions as needed.
