Job summary

BrightView Health is seeking an experienced Counselor to support individuals on their recovery journey within a dynamic treatment team. You will conduct group sessions, perform intake assessments, and provide crisis de-escalation while collaborating across a multidisciplinary health care setting.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year in relevant field, prefer 2+ years, and hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly empathetic and compassionate to support recovery.
• Team-player, collaborative in a multidisciplinary healthcare env.
• Adaptable and agile in a dynamic work environment.
• Technologically capable; familiar with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word).
• Embraces BrightView’s culture of compliance and integrity.
• Prior harm-reduction experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and monitor progress toward goals.
• Coordinate patient care with a multidisciplinary team and attend required meetings.
• Timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensure compliance.
