Job summary

Trilogy, Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Recovery Counselor - Substance Use Specialist to assess clients and plan treatment across home, community, and office settings. The role emphasizes motivational, strengths-based, trauma-informed services using harm reduction.

The incumbent will provide most services in the community, manage an individual caseload, and document care in accordance with agency policy. A sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent credential in a related field.
• Minimum one year of experience working with clients with substance use issues.
• Valid Illinois driver's license with daily access to a vehicle and required liability insurance.
• Certification requirements or must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients in home, community, and office settings to plan treatment.
• Develop individual recovery plans with clients and support networks.
• Provide motivational, trauma-informed services using harm-reduction.
• Complete case management within an individual caseload.
• Document all services per agency policy and state requirements.
