Job summary

BronxCare is seeking individuals to provide peer counseling and advocacy for patients receiving psychiatric services. You will help deliver high-quality care and build positive relationships with patients and staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, a relevant degree, and at least two years of experience in administration or office management.

This role emphasizes the importance of teamwork and supporting patient recovery through effective advocacy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience with administration and/or office management.
  • Basic clerical skills, office management & records management.
  • Ability to provide or procure technical support for all office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish positive relationships with patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Contribute to Performance/Quality Improvement activities.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and treatment team meetings.
  • Develop individualized strategies for patients.
  • Advocate for patients and support their self-advocacy.
