RedSky LLC is seeking an experienced Data Management Specialist/Business Intelligence Analyst to support DoD initiatives in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on administering databases, ensuring security and compliance, and driving data-driven decision making across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities include database design, maintenance, and performance tuning, with emphasis on RMF/NIST guidance and disaster recovery. A Secret clearance and DoD experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree or seven+ years DoD/Federal DB admin experience.
• 3+ years hands-on with relational databases and multiple OS/lianguages.
• Two projects in a large organization handling large-scale databases.
• Experience with backup/restoration and disaster recovery for enterprise DBs.
• Ability to implement security controls per NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, RMF.
• Monitor DB performance and optimize queries/indexes/execution plans.
• Familiar with IAVM directives, patches and updates.
• Create/maintain database architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and SOPs.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.

RedSky is seeking an experienced Data Management Specialist/Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in support of Department of Defense. Responsibilities

Provides all activities related to the administration of computerized databases. Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function. Designs, creates, and maintains databases in a client/server environment. Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Advises users on access to various client/server databases. Designs, implements, and maintains complex access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end /back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL). Performs database programming and supports systems design. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related discipline -OR- equivalent combination of technical certifications and seven (7)+ years of hands-on database administration experience in a DoD or Federal Enterprise environment.
• Three (3)+ years of hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems. Experience also shall include capability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages.
• Two (2) projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer database.
• Proven experience designing and executing backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies for enterprise databases.
• Ability to implement database security controls aligned with NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, and RMF.
• Ability to monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries, indexes, and execution plans
• Familiarity of IAVM directives, database patch application, and updates
• Ability to create and maintain database architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and SOPs
• CompTIA Security+ certification
