Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Record Center Specialist in Knoxville, TN to support the Operations team with daily record processing and order fulfillment. The role requires physical work, safety awareness, and attention to detail.

Key duties include handling boxes up to 100 lbs, using scanners, and tracking orders in our system. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a 7:30 AM–4:00 PM schedule and protective footwear provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods during the shift.
• Comfort working on uneven and concrete surfaces, including inclines and stairs.
• Ability to safely load, operate, and move hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Ability to read and write English to understand labels and order documentation.
• Ability to climb and balance on ladders as required for tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing orders by moving and arranging boxes of files, books, binders, and other materials.
• Lift, carry, and transport boxes ranging from 10–100 lbs regularly.
• Use a proprietary computer system to track orders and locate boxes.
• Operate hand-held scanners and follow label-based workflows for accurate fulfillment.
• Load and shrink wrap pallets and load boxes onto pallets and trucks using material handling aids.

Our client, a records and information management organization is seeking a Record Center Specialist to join their team. As a Record Center Specialist, you will be part of the Operations team supporting day-to-day record processing and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, comfort with hands‑on physical work, and the ability to follow safety-focused procedures which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $16.43

Shift: 07:30AM - 04:00PM - Monday-Friday

What's the Job?

• Process incoming and outgoing orders by moving and arranging boxes containing files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
• Lift, carry, and transport boxes ranging from 10–100 lbs on a regular basis without assistance.
• Use a proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes.
• Operate hand‑held scanners and follow label‑based workflows to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Load and shrink wrap pallets at ground level or on carts, and load boxes onto pallets and pallets onto trucks using material handling aids.

• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Comfort working on uneven and concrete surfaces, including inclines, stairs, and changes in walking surface/elevation.
• Ability to safely load, operate, and move hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Ability to read and write English to understand labels, instructions, and order documentation.
• Ability to climb and balance on ladders as required for tasks.
