Job summary

Carvana in Fairburn, GA is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center team and oversee daily operations within a lean manufacturing environment. You will lead 5+ leads and up to 70 associates, ensuring quality, production, and cost objectives are met. This role is not visa-eligible.

You will mentor staff, drive strategic plans, and maintain safety and compliance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high engagement.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with and through teams to achieve results.
• Strong analysis and decision making ability.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends.
• Ability to walk up to three miles each day.
• Requires standing for extended periods and use of safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching, leadership development and training.
• Develop and execute strategic plans, goals, and objectives aligned with the company.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that fosters positive communication and team cohesion.
• Maintain supervisory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity levels and assist with planning.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision to the reconditioning team in meeting performance metrics.
• Reinforce quality, production and cost objectives among the team.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
