Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to oversee daily operations in the Inspection Center, guiding a team of leads and up to 70 associates within a lean manufacturing setting. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to deliver projects and meet company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record in last 3 years.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with teams to achieve results.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work in variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and hold direct reports accountable; plan succession and training.
• Contribute to strategic plans and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment aligned with Carvana values.
• Maintain supervisory staff through recruitment, orientation, and training.
• Coordinate progression paths: training and certification processes.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Ensure production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss-prevention guidelines are followed.
• Provide vision to the team to meet performance metrics.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
