Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center team, overseeing daily operations and driving continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing setting. You will direct 5 leads and up to 70 associates, maintaining quality, production, and costs while fostering a constructive work culture.

The role emphasizes leadership development, strategic planning, and adherence to safety and standard operating procedures. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to meet project deliverables and metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends.
• Ability to walk up to three miles daily.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that promotes positive communication and team cohesion while upholding Carvana’s values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff; maintain leadership pipelines.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Guide leads and associates with competency-based feedback and coaching.
