Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to oversee daily operations in an Inspection Center, directing 5 leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean manufacturing environment. The role drives continuous improvement while meeting quality, production, and cost objectives.

The person will mentor staff, develop training plans, and ensure adherence to standards and Carvana values. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to obtain project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor and coach direct reports; support succession planning and training.
• Contribute to strategic plans and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Foster a positive team environment aligned with Carvana values.
• Maintain supervisory staff through hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Ensure training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Assist with production planning and capacity management.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines are followed.
• Provide vision to the team to meet quality, production, and cost objectives.
