Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager in Saint Charles, MO to supervise the Inspection Center team and oversee the vehicle reconditioning process. The role directs multiple leads and up to 70 associates in a lean manufacturing environment, driving continuous improvement while meeting quality, production, and cost objectives.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Excellent leadership, communication, and safety compliance are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to deliver projects and meet metrics.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching, leadership development and training.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans and objectives aligned with the company.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that fosters positive communication, team cohesion, and Carvana values.
• Maintain supervisory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity levels and assist with production planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team in meeting performance metrics.
• Positively reinforce and engage the team regarding quality, production and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
