Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise and coordinate the Inspection Center team, overseeing 5 leads and up to 70 associates in a lean environment. You will drive continuous improvement, maintain high quality and productivity, and ensure safety and cost objectives are met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to obtain project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans aligned with the company.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that inspires communication, team cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Assist with production planning and ensure adequate capacity for each line.
• Ensure health and safety and loss prevention guidelines are followed.
• Provide vision to the team to meet performance metrics.
• Reinforce and engage the team on quality, production and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
