Reconciliation Specialist (Remote)

Role Overview

Could you be our next Reconciliation Specialist? Globe Life is looking for a Reconciliation Specialist to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for reconciling bank accounts to the general ledger in accordance with established SOX guidelines. You will perform these reconciliations using the Trintech Cadency Financial software suite. You will identify outstanding reconciliation items, including unmatched items, paid-not-issued transactions, paid amount discrepancies, and encoding errors.

You will research and resolve outstanding items promptly, contact bank resources for errors, and coordinate with departments to correct ledger errors. You will also check multiple banking institutions for Positive Pay exceptions through network banking systems and research these items to make informed decisions online about paying or declining checks.

Additional responsibilities include issuing, voiding, and stopping payments on checks within the banking system, reconciling suspense accounts, researching outstanding suspense items, and coordinating with Unclaimed Property for outstanding checks.

This is a remote / work from home position.

What You Will Do

• Reconcile ledger activities using ReconNET and Certification.
• Research outstanding items and make correcting entries or coordinate resolutions.
• Check for Positive Pay Exceptions and manage check issuance and stops.
• Maintain check registers and reconcile bank statements.
• Prepare documentation for reconciliation and Unclaimed Property processing.

What You Can Bring

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of accounting or banking experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLookups and Pivot Tables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and familiarity with Workday and Trintech Cadency systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and PC navigation skills.
