Job summary

Vanguard GMC of Carrollton is seeking an experienced automotive technician to join our factory-trained service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to GM specifications, test components, and communicate effectively with the service advisor about additional work and time estimates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as an ASE or GM technician.
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Fast, eager learner and team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor any additional services needed.
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
