Job summary

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Recertification/Compliance Specialist for a 412-unit property in Jersey City, NJ. The role requires coordinating interviews, processing paperwork, and ensuring regulatory compliance for occupancy and recertifications.

You will manage data collection, calculate incomes and rents, and work with maintenance and office staff to keep operations running smoothly in a high-tech environment with competitive salaries and benefits.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of low-income, senior, or housing-related programs.
• Associate degree in Marketing and/or Business preferred.
• COS, TCS, MORS, BOS, CMH, or AHM certifications preferred.
• Experience with RealPage OneSite or similar property management software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain waiting list and ensure accuracy.
• Conduct applicant interviews and determine eligibility.
• Coordinate on-site data collection and process resident information.
• Calculate income, assets, and rent levels accurately.
• Obtain Compliance Department approvals for move-ins and recertifications.
• Coordinate move-in/move-out with maintenance staff.
• Arrange apartment inspections for recertifications.
• Maintain resident files per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Assist office staff with social media marketing and other tasks.
• Perform other duties as described in the job description.
