Job summary

MMS Group is seeking a Recertification/Compliance Specialist for a 412-unit property in Jersey City, NJ. The role requires hands-on management of waiting lists, applicant screenings, data collection, and income/rent calculations to ensure compliant occupancy.

You will coordinate move-ins/move-outs, conduct inspections, and maintain files while supporting office tasks and social media marketing. Strong organization and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of low-income, senior, or housing-related programs.
• Associate degree in Marketing and/or Business preferred.
• COS, TCS, MORS, BOS, CMH, or AHM certifications preferred.
• Experience with RealPage OneSite or similar property management software; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the property waiting list and keep it current.
• Conduct applicant interviews and determine eligibility.
• Coordinate on-site data collection and process resident information.
• Calculate income, assets, and rent levels accurately.
• Obtain Compliance Department approval for new move-ins and recerts.
• Coordinate move-ins / move-outs with maintenance staff.
• Arrange apartment inspections for recertifications.
• Maintain resident files per policy and regulatory rules.
• Assist with office tasks and social media marketing.
