Job summary

MMS Group in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Recertification/Compliance Specialist for a 412-unit residential property. You will manage waiting lists, interview applicants, and ensure accurate income, assets, and rent calculations.

You will coordinate on-site data collection, inspections, move-ins and move-outs, and maintain resident files in compliance with federal housing regulations. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of low-income, senior, or housing-related programs.
• Experience with rental assistance and affordable housing programs.
• COS, TCS, MORS, BOS, CMH, or AHM certifications preferred.
• Experience with RealPage OneSite or similar property management software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain waiting list and conduct applicant interviews to determine eligibility.
• Coordinate on-site data collection and process resident information.
• Ensure accurate calculation of income, assets, and rent levels.
• Seek and obtain Compliance Department approval for new move-ins and selected recertifications.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff for timely move-ins/move-outs.
• Coordinate apartment inspections for recertifications.
• Maintain resident files per policies and procedures.
• Assist office staff with tasks including social media marketing.
• Perform other duties outlined in the job description.
