Job description

*Description*

Selective is seeking a receptionist to handle basic administrative duties in our office. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities. Responsibilities include assisting with workspace hoteling for employee on-site events, and proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel) is required. The work hours are approximately 8:30/9:00 am to 4:30/5:00 pm. This is a contract position until the end of the year, with potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment.

*Responsibilities*

  • Answering the door for deliveries
  • Facilitating laptop returns via UPS
  • Collecting mail daily
  • Monitoring and reporting office supply shortages
  • Managing coffee room supplies
  • Coordinating with vending machine vendors
  • Assisting with catering orders for events like PI Planning
  • Supporting Vibes events, fundraisers, and food drives
  • Assisting with office maintenance and deliveries
  • Handling employee inquiries and directing them appropriately
  • Managing visitors, including scheduling, communication, greeting, and logging
  • Coordinating onboarding for new employees and consultants
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized reception and office environment
  • Collaborating with building maintenance and custodial services
  • Performing general clerical tasks

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience with Workplace Platform and Robin Software is a plus

*Compensation & Benefits*

The hourly pay range is $23.00 - $25.00. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, employee assistance, PTO, and sick leave, subject to eligibility and plan specifics.

*Workplace Location*

This is a fully onsite role in Hartford, CT.
