Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a Receptionist to deliver a positive patient experience by scheduling appointments, answering calls, registering patients, and providing information with respectful communication. This full-time role supports a safe, welcoming environment across Freeman Health System.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, collecting payments, using medical office software, verifying eligibility, and balancing cash drawer. Extended perks accompany long-term employment.

What You'll Do:

The Receptionist is responsible for delivering a positive patient experience throughout Freeman Health System to, include, but not limited to, scheduling patient appointments, answering phone calls, updating patient registrations, providing general information with respectful, effective communication, and other activities aimed to create a safe and positive environment.

Requirements:

• Greet all customers, patients, vendors, and other visitors to the facility.
• Answer patient questions and aid and directions when necessary.
• Register patients and ensure documentation and forms are compliant with state and federal regulatory activities, including but not limited to HIPAA, and all applicable regulations.
• Collect payments and print receipts for patients.
• Count and balance cash drawer.
• Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
• Verify eligibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
