Freeman Health System is seeking a friendly Receptionist to deliver a positive patient experience. The role includes scheduling appointments, answering phones, updating registrations, and providing information with respectful communication, ensuring HIPAA compliance and a compliant, smooth front-desk operation.

The full-time daytime schedule offers no weekends or holidays, with benefits starting on day one and opportunities to grow within a nonprofit health system serving multiple communities.

Qualifications

• Greet all customers, patients, vendors and visitors to the facility.
• Answer patient questions and provide directions when necessary.
• Register patients and ensure forms meet state/federal regulations including HIPAA.
• Collect payments and print receipts for patients.
• Count and balance cash drawer.
• Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments.
• Verify eligibility for services.

Schedule: Full-time Days (40hrs/week). No weekends/no holidays.

What You'll Do: The Receptionist is responsible for delivering a positive patient experience throughout Freeman Health System to, include, but not limited to, scheduling patient appointments, answering phone calls, updating patient registrations, providing general information with respectful, effective communication, and other activities aimed to create a safe and positive environment.

• Greet all customers, patients, vendors, and other visitors to the facility.
• Answer patient questions and aid and directions when necessary.
• Register patients and ensure documentation and forms are compliant with state and federal regulatory activities, including but not limited to HIPAA, and all applicable regulations.
• Collect payments and print receipts for patients.
• Count and balance cash drawer.
• Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
• Verify eligibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
