Job summary

Butterfield Trail Village is seeking a friendly, dependable Receptionist to greet residents, families, guests, and visitors as the first contact on arrival. You will answer questions, handle messages, and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere in a senior living setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and experience in reception or customer service, plus basic skills in Word, Excel, and email. A calm, professional demeanor and a commitment to confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in reception, customer service, administration, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and follow policies, procedures, and safety instructions.
  • Good organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to protect confidential information.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Genuine interest in serving and working with older adults.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist residents, families, guests, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer questions and provide helpful information.
  • Answer and direct phone calls and accurately take and deliver messages.
  • Keep resident and company information private and confidential.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with residents, families, and visitors.
  • Stay alert to unusual activity and help maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Follow safety and emergency procedures in a calm and professional manner.
  • Remain at the Reception Desk during emergencies as required.
  • Communicate clearly with residents, families, visitors, employees, and others.
  • Stay calm and professional during busy or stressful situations.
  • Adjust to changing needs and complete other duties as assigned.
