Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens is seeking a part-time Receptionist & Administrative Assistant for the Office of Global Engagement (OGE). The role combines front desk support with clerical duties, working 5–6 hour shifts on weekdays through September 2026 to August 2027.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, handling calls, processing documents, mail tasks, and basic data entry. This temporary position offers an opportunity to support international programs on campus.

  • Assist with receiving, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Support unit with various clerical tasks and processes, including ordering supplies, entering and tracking data, updating electronic records.
  • Monitor multiple unit email accounts.
  • Receive payments when needed.
  • Perform duties related to incoming/outgoing mail and shipping.

OGE is comprised of three units: Immigration Services, International Initiatives, and Global Education—the latter including UGA’s residential centers in Oxford, England and Cortona, Italy—with all areas supported by dedicated Finance and Operations staff. Additional Schedule Information

This is not a student position. We are seeking a part‑time employee who is expected to work Monday – Friday, with shift assigend being 5 – 6 hours per shift. Hours will be determined upon offer. This is a temporary position and expected to work approximately September 2026 though August 2027.

The Clerical & Administrative Support role provides essential operational assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of the unit. This position is responsible for a wide range of clerical, administrative, and office support activities that contribute to efficient workflows, effective communication, and high‑quality service delivery.
