Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens seeks a part-time Receptionist & Administrative Assistant to support the Office of Global Engagement (OGE) and the Assoc Provost's Office. The role includes greeting visitors, routing calls, handling mail, and clerical tasks, with 5–6 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, starting 08/30/2026.

This temporary position offers $17.00 per hour, is not a student position, and requires handling information requests and basic administrative duties as outlined in the

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors; answer and route calls; take and deliver messages; provide information to visitors or callers, as appropriate.
  • Support Global Eduation office by providing information to callers and visitors.
  • Accept and record documents from callers and visitors, provide documents to visitors.
  • Keep lobby space and materials organized and neat.
  • Assist with receiving, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Percentage of time: 50%
  • Support unit with various clerical tasks and processes, including, but not limited to, ordering supplies, entering and tracking data, updating electronic records, etc.
  • Monitor multiple unit email accounts.
  • Receive payments, when needed.
  • Perform duties related to incoming/outgoing mail and shipping.
  • Percentage of time: 50%

  • Additional Schedule Information: This is not a student position. We are seeking a part-time employee who is expected to work Monday - Friday, with shift assigend being 5 - 6 hours per shift. Hours will be determined upon offer. This is a temporary position and expected to work approximately September 2026 though August 2027.
