This position is intended to be a limited term position within the Office of Faculty Affairs, ending after the ERP implementation, which is expected to complete between July and December of 2028. Continuation of this position is contingent upon available funding and needs that exist beyond this implementation. Position Summary

The Office of Faculty Affairs, a unit within the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, provides support for faculty and oversight of faculty-related policies and procedures for the University of Georgia. The Faculty Affairs Assistant II supports the annual promotion and tenure (P&T) process, faculty hiring processes, and faculty life cycle transactions. This role coordinates faculty affairs processes and activities in collaboration with senior team members, including P&T preparation, faculty appointment actions, data management and review, and document tracking. The position works across multiple faculty processes and systems to ensure accuracy, timely completion of actions, and compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and established deadlines.

  • Knowledge of faculty affairs processes, including promotion and tenure, faculty appointments, post-tenure review, annual review, and related university policies and procedures.
  • Skill in reviewing, tracking, and maintaining complex records and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects, deadlines, and workflow activities simultaneously while ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Skill in data management, reporting, and quality control, including the ability to identify discrepancies and maintain consistency across multiple systems and records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with faculty, administrators, and campus stakeholders regarding processes, requirements, and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated competency in maintaining confidentiality, exercising sound judgment, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
