Schedule: The normal hours are 8am - 5pm with an hour for lunch Monday - Friday. There are events hosted by Global Education that necessitate work outside of the regular work hours or on a weekend on occasion.

The position is an integral part of a wide varietyand vibrant group of international education professionals passionate about their contribution to the overall educational mission of UGA. The Global Education Advisor works with the staff of the Office of Global Engagement's Global Education office. The position implements procedures and policies, including risk management, pertaining to international student mobility; counsels students by providing technical guidance and problem resolution before, during and after programs overseas, including faculty-led study abroad, exchange, affiliate and consortia programs, University System study abroad, external offerings, work, internships, research, volunteer and service learning experiences; provides information to student in one-on-one and group formats via advising appointments, email, phone, social media, informational events, and publications; promotes international opportunities on UGA campus and beyond; assists with training student staff; and works closely with faculty and staff throughout campus involved with study abroad.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience
