Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is seeking a welcoming Receptionist in Wilmington, NC to greet patients and visitors, and to manage the front desk for surgical services. You will assist with registration and verify insurance details for procedures.

You will review procedures, collect copays or deductibles on the day of surgery, and prepare charts with forms for the specific procedure. A basic knowledge of medical terminology is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Two or more years of medical office experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors and registers them for surgery.
• Review of procedures, obtaining insurance information and collection of copay/deductibles on the day of surgery.
• Preparing charts prior to the day of surgery to include all forms related to the specific surgical procedure.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required; understanding of medical claims billing is a plus.
