Garden Gate Health Care Facility, part of The McGuire Group, seeks a Receptionist in Cheektowaga, NY. You will be the first contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff, handling sign-in, phone calls, and light administrative tasks while delivering friendly, organized customer service.

The role offers part-time hours (4 pm–8 pm Mon/Tue/Fri with every other weekend 9 am–2:30 pm) and pay range $16.15–$18.81 per hour. Join a team focused on compassion, teamwork, and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months of administrative or customer service experience required.
• Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors and ensure proper sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed.
• Monitor facility entrances and follow building security procedures to support resident safety.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate departments, staff, or resident rooms.
• Perform administrative support tasks including typing, copying, filing, and mail distribution.
• Maintain copier and office supply areas and distribute incoming faxes.
• Sort and distribute resident and facility mail.
• Maintain resident directories and mailing information.
• Prepare door tags, reports, and other clerical documents as requested.
• Assist with resident transportation and help residents enter or exit the facility when needed.
• Use the facility intercom system for announcements and staff paging.
• Attend required trainings and comply with facility policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
