Responsibilities:

• Welcome and check in patients with warmth and professionalism.


• Use practice management software to schedule, confirm, and handle patient appointments.


• Handle and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and questions from patients.


• Check the patient’s insurance coverage and collect any co-pays during their visit.


• Coordinate referrals, maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and demographic information, and communicate with insurance providers as needed.


• Keep the front desk and waiting area tidy and inviting.

Requirements:

• Professional experience as a receptionist, front desk associate, in a medical office, or in customer service.


• Comfortable working with medical terminology, handling insurance verification, and navigating EMR/EHR systems.


• Experience with insurance verification is a plus


• Strong communication and people skills


• Speaking both English and Spanish is a huge plus in the Miami market.


• Able to juggle multiple tasks and maintain organization in a busy clinical setting.


• A high school diploma or equivalent is needed, and an associate's degree is a nice extra.


• Possesses basic computer skills with the capability to quickly learn office software.
