Job summary

Performance Food Group seeks a Warehouse Associate to oversee the receiving dock area, inspect and verify materials, and ensure proper storage and inventory entry. The role supports efficient operations and product flow while adhering to safety standards.

The position requires ability to work in cooler/freezer and dry environments, lift up to 80 lbs occasionally, and meet productivity targets. Training and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months of warehouse or distribution work experience.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10–35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe work area.
• Review schedule, perform safety checks and prepare for operations.
• Wear required PPE and safety gear.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Open loading dock doors and prepare area to receive products.
• Inspect incoming trailers and verify items against the bill of lading.
• Receive and count incoming products, record counts in the system, ensure quality and labeling.
• Perform damage checks and take appropriate action for dated items.
• Identify, label and store supplies; enter PO data into inventory system.
• Move items to staging areas with forklift/pallet jack; assist forklift operators.
• Put away pallets, re-wrap as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping of warehouse, dock, and trailers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
