Job summary

Viking Electric in Milwaukee is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler - Receiving to move, store, and ship goods from our Milwaukee warehouse. You will load/unload trucks, verify items, and route materials for delivery in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

We provide forklift and handheld scanner training; the role requires 18+ years old, ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and a willingness to work in varying warehouse temperatures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, or up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for much of your shift.
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers).
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment like a forklift and handheld scanning device (training provided).
• Ability to work in various temperatures within our warehouse.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material in a safe manner using a forklift, pallet jack, handcart, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, or other device (no experience required - we provide training)
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels, allowing us to track appropriate inventory levels
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage
• Help us keep products free from damage and organized
• Follow and promote procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure
