Job summary

Viking Electric in Milwaukee is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler to move products from our warehouse to customers. You’ll fill orders accurately, locate the right items, and prepare shipments for trucks in a fast-paced team environment.

We provide forklift training and emphasize safety while offering full benefits and opportunities to grow within the Sonepar family. The role is 2nd shift, full-time, with a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly, or up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for much of the shift.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract).
• Willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes safely using equipment; training provided.
• Count, check and record items entering or leaving the warehouse.
• Use handheld device to scan barcodes and track inventory levels.
• Assemble, package, label, and route material for delivery or storage.
• Help keep products undamaged and organized; follow safety procedures.
