Job summary

Viking Electric is recruiting for a Warehouse Material Handler - Receiving in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time, first-shift role runs 6:00am–2:00pm, Monday–Friday, with hourly pay ranging from $21.00 to $26.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will move products from the warehouse to customers, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, packaging and scheduling for transport. Training is provided for forklift and scanning devices.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly (up to 75 lbs with assistance)
• Ability to stand and walk for much of shift
• Basic math skills (add/subtract)
• Willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanning device (training provided)
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/materials safely using forklift, pallet jack, handcart, cherry picker, reach truck, EZGo cart or similar tools
• Count, check and record items coming into or shipped out of the warehouse
• Use handheld device to scan barcodes/labels to track inventory levels
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage
• Help keep products free from damage and well organized
• Follow procedures to keep the warehouse safe and secure
