Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Houston, TX seeks a Receiving Specialist to ensure accurate intake, labeling and storage of inbound shipments for production lines. You will inspect shipments, verify contents against POs, and maintain ERP records to support inventory control.

Operate forklifts safely, manage physical tasks up to 50 lbs, and collaborate with production and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies. Overtime may be required in peak periods, and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Entry-level to 1–2 years in receiving, warehousing or logistics.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and instruction-following ability.
• Certified forklift operator skills and safe handling experience.
• Good organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency including ERP systems like SAP S/4HANA.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, label, and locate inbound shipments.
• Verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Aim for 24-hour receipt and 95% compliance for JIT needs.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP systems.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely up to 80,000 lbs.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams.
• Participate in housekeeping and safety initiatives.
• Follow safety, quality, environmental, and health guidelines.
• Perform other duties to support logistics and warehouse operations.
