Job summary

Atlas Copco Houston is seeking a Receiving Specialist to ensure smooth material flow. You will inspect shipments, verify contents against POs and packing slips, label items, and place them in correct storage or production locations to keep operations running smoothly.

You’ll operate forklifts and other equipment safely, maintain accurate inventory records in our systems, and collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams. A safety‑driven, team‑oriented environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving, warehousing, or logistics roles.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Certified forklift operator with safe material handling.
• Strong organizational and proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, and SAP S/4HANA.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on shop floors/outdoors.
• Overtime flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming shipments for damages and verify contents against POs and packing slips.
• Ensure prompt receipt within 24 hours and 95% compliance.
• Label and relocate materials to storage or production locations.
• Maintain records in inventory management systems.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment up to 80,000 lbs safely.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, purchasing, and logistics.
• Participate in housekeeping and safety practices.
• Follow Atlas Copco safety guidelines and policies.
• Perform other assigned duties to support logistics operations.
