Job summary

Forman Mills Inc. is seeking a Department Lead in the Receiving department. You will oversee merchandising directives, organize presentation, and ensure pricing and inventory accuracy while delivering a courteous, fast, and friendly shopping experience.

You will train staff, manage floor moves, and coordinate with management to prioritize hot items and maintain security. Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Cashier experience preferred but not required.
• Math and ability to count money and give accurate change.
• Ability to handle different customer personalities professionally.
• High energy, positive attitude, friendly, courteous.
• Excellent people skills.
• POS software and hardware experience (e.g., Kronos, calculator).

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and thank each customer in a positive, approachable manner.
• Train and develop all team members in department.
• Present merchandise as directed by store management.
• Verify signing on fixtures is correct.
• Ensure floor plans and moves are safely executed.
• Receive and present new freight within 24 hours of arrival.
• Communicate priorities with receiving and management.
• Relay selling and non-selling merchandise status to management.
• Complete price changes on time as directed by the store support center.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Support other store areas as needed and deter theft with loss prevention.
• Communicate tasks and assignments to department staff and management.
